Full-Time Academy Program

(Length: 6-8 years; Approximate Age: 11-18)

This division is the primary focus of ballet education at the Academy. Professional Division students are welcome to apply for admission to our academic and boarding program. The boarding program is available to in-house academic students. Admission to this division of study is only by audition. This division offers a systematic and consecutive method of professional ballet training. The curriculum includes classes in classical technique, repertoire studies, partnering, character dance, historical court dance, adagio studies, music, ballet history and body conditioning. 

Dance Studies: 18-22 hours per week

Academic Studies 20 hours per week

Pre-Professional Ballet Training Program

(Length: 2 years; Approximate Age: 17-20)

The Pre-Professional Program is a two year ballet and related studies program designed to prepare dancers who have received a high school diploma for a professional career with major national and international dance companies. The curriculum includes ballet technique, pointe, variations, men’s class, pas de deux, contemporary, and character dance.

Dance Studies: 22 hours per week

Pre-professional Courses: 6-8 hours per week
